As a leader in community and economic development for over 20 years, Jason has found his professional passion in executive management particularly in the areas of economic development, innovation, entrepreneurship, strategic leadership, and non-profit administration. He currently serves in a dual-role as President of the Wake Forest Business & Industry Partnership, Inc. and the Director of Economic Development for the Town of Wake Forest, North Carolina - in one of the fastest growing areas in the nation. Leading strategic growth in a region experiencing a rapid boom in population, unprecedented economic expansion, and new job opportunities has been met with the fortunate challenges and needs that growth brings and has helped him become a more resilient and collaborative leader - and more excited for the future than ever!

What’s your go-to karaoke track? We Didn’t Start the Fire by Billy Joel. In 5th grade, we had to memorize the lyrics and write about all the historical pieces. I’ve always remembered it and loved it!
If you were a food, what would you be? Sushi, because you can eat it and still feel good about yourself afterward. It’s both delicious and good for you.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? It doesn’t matter how great of a leader you think you are, it matters how great the people you lead think you are.

Dr. Tim Flood has been teaching Communication and Entrepreneurship classes at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, for 22 years - and counting! Go Heels! He has been immersed in the NC startup scene since Launch Box and the Triangle Startup Factory, back when the American Underground was new.
Tim splits his time between Greensboro and Chapel Hill, he’s the very proud father of two amazing young men, and will, some day, get that Jeep in the yard running and road-ready again! Tim loves working with small business owners and entrepreneurs all up and down Tobacco Road—at whatever stage of their game.

Clark is a Miami native and a highly relational leader who brings a collaborative and innovative perspective to every interaction. Over the last several years, Clark has been working to build dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems across the American South. Clark's work sits at the intersection of community engagement, community development, and economic development.

Carmon is a dynamic communications specialist whose passion for storytelling and design brings brands to life. With a rich background in graphic creation, content writing, event coordinating, and much more, Carmon thrives at the intersection of creative and strategic thinking. Based in Wake Forest, North Carolina, she pairs her creative drive with a naturally collaborative spirit, ready to jump into any new challenge that demands ingenuity and heart.
Outside the office, Carmon is all in for family life. She’s married and mom to four energetic young boys, and she’s wild about her crew—whether they’re exploring the backyard, cheering each other on, or plotting the next family adventure. That same vibrancy she brings to her personal world ripples into her professional one—infusing her leadership, her teamwork and her communications with authenticity, warmth and unshakeable optimism.

If you could have any animal as a pet, what would you choose, any why? A Gryffin - I figure if I can pick any animal to be a pet, then a mythical one is probably on the table, too. I could get a ride to work!
If you were a food, what would you be? Warm, fluffy bread smeared with too much butter—a great example that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Love is a verb. It’s a daily practice of actions and commitment.
What gets you out of bed in the morning? Self-defense, mainly. By morning, I’m buried under several children who’ve crawled into bed during the night.

Monique is the Economic Development Manager for the Wake Forest Business and Industry Partnership (WFBIP). Before joining Wake Forest, she spent more than a decade working in the Town of Louisburg, the county seat of Franklin County, focusing on customer service, utilities, project management as well as economic development. A native of Warren County, North Carolina, just south of the Virginia border and north of Wake Forest, Monique is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a North Carolina Certified Economic Developer (NCCED). She’s passionate about helping businesses and entrepreneurs build, grow, and expand, while connecting them with opportunities to market their services within the community. Wake Forest is a vibrant, fast-growing town, and Monique is proud to be part of the team that helps make that growth possible.

The Wake Forest Business & Industry Partnership (WFBIP) is a nonprofit organization devoted to economic growth in Wake Forest, attracting businesses, fostering entrepreneurship, supporting local companies with resources such as real estate, incentives, and workforce support, and promoting the town's blend of big-city amenities and small-town charm, leveraging its Research Triangle location for innovation.
The Loading Dock in Downtown Wake Forest is a vibrant co-working and collaborative workspace. In the setting of a meticulously restored, 24,000 sq. ft. warehouse, it offers private offices, shared desks, meeting rooms, training areas, and large event spaces for entrepreneurs, remote workers, and small businesses. It is designed to foster community and innovation, featuring amenities like high-speed Wi-Fi, coffee, a kitchen, and outdoor areas, acting as a key economic hub in Downtown Wake Forest.
The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit business association that advocates for local businesses, promotes economic growth, enhances community quality of life, and provides networking, marketing, educational, and leadership opportunities for its members in Northern Wake County, operating through pillars like networking, advocacy, and service to support area businesses and entrepreneurs.
